Custom-designed · Lighthouse 95+ · 6 weeks live

Corporate websites that earn trust and actually convert.

A 6-week senior-led design + build. Brand-grounded, ridiculously fast, SEO-engineered, POPIA-compliant. No bloated WordPress themes, no "drag-and-drop builder" lock-in. A modern Laravel / Next.js / Astro site your team owns and can edit on Monday.

6 weeks Lighthouse 95+ POPIA-ready From R14,000

Four reasons your site feels older than your business.

We audit dozens of SA corporate sites a year. The patterns are uncomfortably consistent. If three of these sound familiar, your site is the bottleneck.

!

Theme-rot at every page

Built on a WordPress theme by an agency that doesn't exist anymore. 7 plugins out of date. Looks 2015. Loads like 2010. Editing requires a "WordPress person."

4.7smedian TTI on audited sites
!

Mobile = afterthought

Desktop looks fine; mobile looks like a screenshot was shrunk. Hamburger menu hides everything. 70% of your traffic is on a phone — they bounce in 3 seconds.

62%mobile bounce rate
!

Zero conversion shape

The hero says "Welcome to our website." There's an "About Us" link in three different places. No clear next step. Visitors leave; you have no idea who they were.

0.4%avg lead conversion
!

Invisible to Google

Pages render in JS that crawlers don't run. Meta tags duplicated. No schema. Sitemap from 2019. You're not on page 1 because you're not even indexed for the queries that matter.

Three principles. Always.

We don't have a house style we impose. We have three rules every Sitect site lives by — and they're the ones that produce sites people actually like using.

Performance is design

A beautiful site that takes 5 seconds to load is an ugly site. Every design decision is checked against its weight. We optimise images, defer scripts, ship critical CSS inline.

Anti-pattern: shipping 4MB hero videos that nobody asked for.

Conversion has a shape

Every page knows what it wants the visitor to do next. Hero CTA, scroll-prompt, mid-page bridges, footer reinforcement. Designed to convert — measured to verify.

Anti-pattern: "Welcome to our website" with no clear next step.

Edits should be easy

If your marketing team can't change the hero copy without raising a ticket, the build failed. Every Sitect site ships with a CMS your non-technical team can actually use.

Anti-pattern: "we need a developer to change a phone number."

Eight page types. All performance-budgeted.

A corporate website has a fixed canonical shape. We build each page from a tested pattern, then customise to your brand and content. No re-inventing the wheel for every section.

Homepage

Hero, value props, social proof, services teaser, CTA. Designed to do one job: get the visitor to the next step.

Conversion-shaped · 4–6 sections

About + team

Story, leadership, values, photos that feel like the company. Replaces the stock-photo-and-mission-statement page.

Trust-building · editorial tone

Services index + detail

Service grid that links to per-service pages. Each detail page sells one capability and points at the next step.

SEO-tuned · per-service slug

Case studies

Real client outcomes. Problem → solution → outcome. Numbers, quotes, screenshots. The closer-of-deals page.

Proof points · per-client slug

Insights / blog

Articles your team writes (or AI drafts then your team edits). Categories, search, RSS, related posts.

SEO + thought leadership · CMS-driven

Careers

Roles, culture, benefits, application flow. Pulls live from your ATS if you have one (Workable, Pinpoint, etc.).

ATS integration · live job feed

Contact + quote

Smart forms that adapt to the page they were called from. Built-in spam filter, CRM webhook, POPIA-compliant consent.

Lead capture · CRM webhook

Legal / POPIA / cookies

Privacy policy, terms, POPIA notice, cookie banner. Generated from a template, customised, lawyer-reviewed before go-live.

SA-compliant · legal-reviewed

Modern. Fast. Yours to own.

We pick the stack that fits your team — not the one that locks you to us. No proprietary builders, no SaaS subscriptions you can't escape.

Six artefacts. All yours, in your repos.

The code, the design files, the CMS schema, the deploy pipeline — everything handed over. No retainer required to keep your site running.

01 · Brand-grounded design

Figma file · full design system

Every page designed in Figma before code. Colour palette, typography, spacing, component library. Editable by your designers, exportable as tokens.

Figma file · design tokens
02 · Source code

Yours · in your GitHub

The whole site as commit history in your GitHub / GitLab org. Documented, tested, deployable. No vendor lock-in.

GitHub · MIT-style ownership
03 · CMS schema

Content types your team can edit

Page types, repeatable blocks, media library, draft/publish workflow. Set up so non-technical team can edit without breaking the design.

04 · Performance budget

Lighthouse CI in your pipeline

Every PR runs Lighthouse. If a change drops the score below threshold, the build fails. The performance gain doesn't decay over time.

05 · SEO + analytics

Indexed · tracked · understood

Schema.org markup on every page, sitemap, robots, OG tags, GA4 / Plausible installed, Search Console configured. You'll know what's working.

Common questions from marketing leads & founders.

If yours isn't here, send us your current site URL — we'll come back with a written audit in 48h. No sales call.

WordPress, Webflow, custom — which should we pick?
It depends on who maintains it. WordPress: cheap if you have a marketer who tolerates the dashboard, expensive if you don't (plugin maintenance becomes a tax). Webflow: great-looking, terrible performance at scale, locked-in pricing. Custom (our default): best performance, best ownership, slightly higher upfront. We recommend custom + a headless CMS (Statamic / Sanity / Payload) for most SA mid-market clients — pays back in 18 months vs WordPress maintenance.
Do you do photography and videography?
No — but we can recommend SA-based photographers we've worked with. For mid-market clients, expect to budget R 15k–R 45k for a half-day brand-photography shoot. Drone footage adds R 8k–R 18k. We'll brief them on the shots the site design needs.
Can we keep our current domain & emails?
Yes — and the DNS cutover is part of our launch checklist. We never touch your MX records (so email isn't disrupted). The handover documents the exact A/CNAME records we changed and why.
POPIA — what do we need on the new site?
Three things baked in by default: (1) POPIA-compliant cookie banner with opt-in consent, (2) Privacy policy templated to your business + reviewed by an attorney (we can introduce you to one), (3) Form consent capture — every form records the consent timestamp + IP for audit. Optional: data-subject-access-request portal for higher-compliance industries.
What hosting do you recommend for SA?
For most clients: Vercel (global CDN, sub-second load even from SA) or Netlify. For POPIA-strict clients: AWS af-south-1 (Cape Town region) or Azure South Africa. We deploy to your accounts — you own the infrastructure and pay the provider directly (~R 200–R 1,500/mo depending on traffic).
What happens after the 30-day on-call?
Three options: (1) Your team owns it — most common. (2) Light retainer from R 2k/mo for hosting management + small content edits. (3) Full retainer from R 5k/mo for active feature development + monitoring. No lock-in — month-to-month.
Will the site rank on Google?
Ranking depends on content + backlinks + age — not just technical SEO. But we ship the foundations: semantic HTML, schema.org markup, structured sitemap, fast load, mobile-first, OG tags, Search Console configured. That's the technical 30% of SEO; the other 70% (content + outreach) is your ongoing work. Optionally we offer SEO & Performance Optimisation as a separate engagement.
Smallest version of this?
If R14k is too much, we offer a 1-week landing page (R 5k) — one page, conversion-shaped, fast as our brand sites. Good for product launches, campaigns, or as a stop-gap while you decide what the full site looks like.

Send us your current site URL.
